a golden star

once there were two bright stars. one was big , one was small.
one day , a planet came to the big star and asked, "Big star , it's very cold out here , can i sit by your side ?"
the big star answered, "No , i don't want to share my energy with you!"
but the small star beckoned the planet to come to him. he said to the planet, "You can sit by me , i'm not that big , but i can warm both of us"
so the planet and the smaller star became friends.
then came another planet, "Big star , can i sit by your warm light ?"
"Go away , i don't like to be disturbed" answered the big star.
"Come little planet , you can join with us" said the smaller star. the smaller star let the planet sit by him.
then came seven more planets. one by one , they asked the big star's permission to sit near him.
but again and again , the big star said no and all the planets went to the small star.
now the small golden star had nine friends. he shared his warmth with his friends. he was never lonely.
the big star lived alone. his light became dimmer and dimmer and he grew old in loneliness.
the small golden star is our golden sun. he shines on all of us on the earth.
and i know he will still by smiling brightly tomorrow.
